There are two key components (both expensive
and valuable) required for top level performance in billing
and collections:
Personnel Expertise and
Software Capabilities.
Both provide challenges to maintain each at state-of-the-art levels. |
|
Personnel: Expertise in every aspect of billing,
coding, collections and reporting are required. Problems can erupt with
turnover of personnel, productivity and commitment to investment in
continuing education. HNM has the resources to attract and maintain talented
individuals who see this as a profession and not just a job. We invest
throughout the year for every employee in their education related to
billing, compliance, coding, collection and all other aspects of our
practice.
Software: Billing requires a cadre of software to address the entire
billing and collection process from electronic capture of required data,
front end scrubbing of claims, electronic submission to reporting to
identify patterns of errors and denials. Billing software requires
information technology support including redundant backup systems. We
maintain state-of-the art equipment, software and backup systems.
